This anime, which was adapted from the manga by Hajime Komoto, has experienced significant developments since its release. It follows the story of a young man Mash Burnedead, who works hard to build muscles in the magical world where he lives. The flow of muscle-defeating magic might seem like a common premise, but Komoto has mastered this trope. The balance of sorcery, brawn and comedy gives new meaning to the world of magic and brawn.

Mashle: Magic and Muscle Anime
This anime is undoubtedly in the good hands of a team of seasoned veterans. Overtaking in the directing role is Tomonari Tanaka, best known for Engage Kiss and Hunter x Hunter. The series script is Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia), and bringing the characters to life through character designs is Hisashi Higashijima.

Masaru Yokoyama will compose the music while the opening theme song, “Knock Out”, will be performed by Taiiku Okazaki and the ending theme song, “Shū Cream Funk” (Cream Puff Funk), by Philosophy no Dance.
The manga was originally serialized in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine and has released 16 volumes since. The manga’s final arc was published in July last year and for international fans, the manga is available in English on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump service as well as Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.
Anime Plots
In a world where magic rules everything and social status is determined by one’s mastery of magic, Mash Burnedead finds himself at a disadvantage. Without magical powers, Mash wants to live in peace. Anime Cast
Burnt down, voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi, is the main character of the series. He wants to defy all belief by proving that physical strength can beat magic. Even though he always had a monotonous expression on his face, he was kind and gentle. He claims to have “Muscle Magic” which he uses to perform unexpected moves on his opponents. Finn Ames, voiced by Reiji Kawashima, is Mash’s roommate. His brother is a Divine Visionary. His magic ability allows him to swap the positions of objects.

Spear crown, voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, is Mash’s rival. His sister lost her magic due to illness, so Lance aims to become a Divine Visionary to save his sister from the laws of the land. He can control gravity. barrett point, voiced by Takuya Eguchi, claims to be Mash’s rival, but he’s just a good-natured person. He loses his temper quite often and considers him the best of all people. He can make explosions with his magic power.
Lemons Irvine, voiced by Reina Ueda, claims to be Mash’s finance after mistaking Mash for proposing to her when she tries to help him during an exam. He comes from a poor background and wants to help his family. He has binding magic, which means he can make or break chains or other binding items.
The anime streams on Crunchyroll, and the English dub will be available on the same platform as well. With 12 or more episodes to come, this anime is labeled “complete” and will continue airing until further updates.
