How to snack like the Sanderson sisters.

Hocus Pocus 2 is officially here! It’s been nearly 30 years since the Sanderson sisters first graced our screens in the original Hocus Pocus film. The trio of witches were resurrected from a centuries-long curse and returned to the modern-era for 90 minutes of Halloween mayhem. While the first movie had a less-than-stellar performance at the box office, its reruns on ABC Family (now Freeform) helped establish it as a beloved cult classic.
If you’re like us, you can’t wait to watch the newest installment of this Halloween classic. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy have reprised their roles as the Sanderson sisters. This time, instead of returning to 1990s-era Salem, they’re entering the 21st century. You can watch this highly-anticipated sequel exclusively on Disney+ starting September 30.
There’s no better way to celebrate the premiere of Hocus Pocus 2 than by cooking up a batch of some of Delish’s favorite treats inspired by the film. And check out all of our Halloween recipes so you can host the ultimate watch party.

These sweet treats are inspired by the magical book of spells that includes the Black Flame Candle Spell, which is what revives the Sanderson sisters in the original movie. In the film, this book is made with human skin and and a real eye. Our version swaps out the decidedly less savory materials for something much more delicious—chocolate! These s’mores pops sandwich fluffy marshmallow crème between two graham crackers before the whole thing is dunked in melted chocolate. Add some decorative frosting and a candy eye, then you’ll have a spooky and sweet snack that’s perfect for a Hocus Pocus 2 watch party.

You can’t host a Hocus Pocus-themed party without a little booze, right? This festive recipe makes 30 Jell-O shots in festive colors, complete with a whipped topping and a chocolate-y witch’s hat. It may look like a spooky cup of witches brew, but these shots won’t cast a spell on you. Instead of Halloween magic, a healthy dose of vodka is enough to get the party started.
Let us know if you make either of these treats, and make sure to watch Hocus Pocus 2, available to stream now on Disney+.
